Aromatherapy using essential oils has many benefits depending on your chosen oil and target chakra. You may benefit from aromatherapy by any of the following methods:

  • Direct application to the skin as a personal fragrance or on the chakra location

  • As an addition to bath water

  • Dispersed via an oil diffuser

It is important to note that essential oils should be added to a carrier oil prior to applying directly to the skin or added to a bath. Essential oils are very potent and, if planning to use on the skin, should be patch tested first to ensure your skin does not react negatively. An oil diffuser is the best choice if you want the benefits of aromatherapy, but have historically sensitive skin or react negatively to a patch test.
